PageOne: A Small Initiative Encouraging People to Read Again

In a time when screens occupy much of our daily attention, a new grassroots initiative called PageOne is encouraging people to reconnect with reading through a simple idea: read just one page a day.

Founded by technology professional Sidhant Bastola, PageOne was created after observing how difficult it has become for many people to maintain a regular reading habit. Rather than asking people to commit to lengthy reading sessions, the initiative focuses on taking the smallest possible first step.

The concept is straightforward. Participants are encouraged to read a single page each day, whether from a book, article, biography, or any long-form text they enjoy. The goal is not speed or volume, but consistency.

The inspiration behind PageOne comes from growing conversations around digital distraction and declining attention spans.
